The 48UZ packaged rooftop units are versatile and efficient heat pumps with gas heating, designed for outdoor installation. The units are self-contained and can be installed in commercial and
industrial applications.
- Four sizes with nominal cooling capacities from 41 to 77 kW, nominal heating capacities from 45 to 85 kW and a nominal gas heat output from 47 to 73 kW.
- Units use the new ozone-friendly refrigerant R-407C.
- Components are specifically designed for the new refrigerant.
- Reduced size and weight make these units ideal for today’s lightweight building structures.
- Cabinet made of powder-painted sheet metal.
- The compressors are mounted on vibration isolators. Sizes 016, 024 and 028 have scroll compressors, size 020 has a reciprocating hermetic compressor.
- Crankcase heaters are standard.
- Double-inlet indoor fans have forward-curved blades.
- Revolutionary, low-noise, two-speed Flying Bird II fan, made of a composite recyclable material and uses a multi-blade design and rotating shroud.
- Heat exchangers made of high-quality staggered copper tubing, mechanically bonded in pre-coated corrugated aluminium fins.
- Refrigerant circuit uses deoxidised and dehydrated copper tubes with obus type access valves. It includes a full refrigerant charge, expansion valves and all components required for correct unit operation.
- Fully wired in accordance with EN standards.
- Simplified electrical connections.
- Gas heating system designed as an alternative to the hot water coil or electric heating options. Units are available with three gas heating modules.
- Tubular dimpled gas heat exchanger optimises heat transfer for maximum efficiency.
- Modular burner assembly consists of a series of injectors.
- Induced draft combustion system for improved efficiency.
- Integrated gas unit controller (IGC).
