Carrier Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), has acquired Concord Controls Limited of Birmingham, U.K. Concord Controls Limited is one of the UK’s leading independent building controls companies. The acquisition was completed on Sept. 16. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. As an Automated Logic Corporation (ALC) dealer and specialist control integrator, Concord has embraced new technology in the controls industry and implemented different manufacturers’ products into the market. Operating from a centrally located head office with a 30-strong team, they provide nationwide service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This latest acquisition enables Carrier to offer its customers advanced measurement, monitoring, control and energy services for commercial buildings. “This is an opportunity to deliver even greater value to our customers,” said Gboyega Obafemi, Managing Director, Carrier United Kingdom. “Carrier and Concord will work closely together to ensure design, engineering, installation and commissioning is completed efficiently, and that building and energy management systems are selected with emphasis on ease of control and energy savings to meet our customer needs.” back to news articles |
