January 05, 2010 LEATHERHEAD, United Kingdom, Nov. 18, 2009 – Carrier Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), has acquired the controls businesses of the i2S Group: DMS Controls, Ltd., ESL, Ltd. and i2S Service, Ltd. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Collectively, these companies design, install and service complete building management systems, primarily for commercial office buildings in the United Kingdom, where they have a proven record of customer success. “The acquisition of i2S Group’s controls business further enhances Carrier’s building management systems capabilities in Europe,” said David Appel, president, Carrier Europe Middle East Africa HVAC. “This will enable Carrier to provide a comprehensive set of products and services to meet its customers’ needs for ease of control and energy savings,” said Obafemi Gboyega, managing director, Carrier United Kingdom.
